Our team’s Campus Transformation Project at The University of Texas at El Paso has just been awarded the Sustainable SITES Initiative Silver Certification, the first project in the world to earn SITES certification beyond the Initiative’s pilot projects. The certification recognizes the project as a model for reducing water demand, mitigating runoff, reducing energy consumption, improving air quality, and increasing outdoor recreation opportunities in remote arid environments, reflecting the team’s commitment to sustainable design and construction practices. As prime consultant, TELA extends our heartfelt thanks again to all of our collaborators and the visionary leaders at The University of Texas at El Paso for their dedication to excellence in helping realize this monumental project.
