Hill Country Resort Master Plan
Design of this hill country resort engaged all aspects of landscape architectural expertise, including comprehensive site analysis; siting the resort's restaurant, spa, and boutique hotel, and residential casitas; determining the form and location of terraced gardens and vineyards; and developing a strategy for optimizing the site's hydrology. At the same time, careful consideration was given to choreographing the visitor experience of the hill country landscape. TELA invited architectural, environmental and engineering consultants to collaboratively produce a comprehensive master plan that responded to the project's needs while mitigating challenges including steep topography, lack of existing utilities, remote location and eroded soils. The resulting master plan does as much, engaging the refined and the rugged to harmoniously balance the human experience with environmental stewardship.
