Goat Mountain Ranch
Goat Mountain Ranch is situated on a rocky, arid hill studded with wonderfully magnificent live oaks and junipers overlooking the Nueces River. Native hardscapes and planting materials ground the house to the site. TELA created a gracious entry experience to the residence by terracing limestone steps upward the rocky slope of the house through a drought tolerant native garden. The pool, made from quarried limestone block walls, retains the desert garden and is nestled as a downslope destination from the house. Paths wind through the landscape connecting the main residence to the guesthouse and the fence weaves through the predominantly native landscape as it was designed to be transparent.
